Ordering

How does it work?

Every portrait is hand-illustrated by a real digital artist. We don't just apply a filter; we take time to trace over every photo, capturing every detail and ensuring your pet gets the attention they deserve.

You will receive a preview for your approval to ensure you are happy with your portrait before we send it to print. If not, we can revise it for you until you are or offer a full refund, making your entire purchase risk free.

Once approved, your order is professionally printed and shipped out to you.

Can I see a preview before it's printed?

Absolutely! All orders come with a free preview by email for you to approve before we print it.

Can I change the background or text during the preview?

Sure! We can show you multiple options as required so you can pick your favourite. You can also change or remove the text or ask for any other revisions during the preview stage.

Can I see multiple options before deciding?

Absolutely. Just let us know when ordering or during the preview and we can show you multiple variations so you can pick your favourite.

Is it only for dogs and cats?

No - we can do portraits of any animal, including hamsters, parrots, iguannas, horses, fish...

We have even done a portrait of a panda!

Can I have more than one pet in a portrait?

Sure! You can choose between one, two or three pet portraits when ordering.

If you'd like more pets than this, simply add a note with your order or reach out to us and we can build a custom order for the additional pets (£10 extra per pet).

Multi pet portraits are in landscape orientation. We recommend going for the larger sizes to make sure each pet has enough space to shine.

You can also opt for multiple one pet portraits instead. This works great when building a gallery wall or wanting more flexibility with how you arrange them.

What type of photo do I need?

For best results, we recommend the following:

- Sitting or standing. looking towards the camera

- Face and neck visible

- Photo taken at eye level

- Good lighting

Alternative poses and angles can also work great, but the portrait will be in the same pose and angle as the photo.

This is because we rely on tracing over the photo to get the best likeness.

My photo isn't the best quality - can I still get a portrait?

We understand it can sometimes be difficult to get a good photo, particularly when ordering as a gift or for pets who are sadly no longer with us.

We can normally still work with almost any photo. If we have any concerns, we’ll let you know once we receive your photo.

Shipping

How much does shipping cost?

We offer FREE shipping on orders of £75 or more!

For orders under £75, rates start from just £2.99 and will be calculated at checkout.

How long does it take?

It takes 1 week on average from placing your order to receiving your portrait.

You'll normally receive your preview within the first 2 days.

Once approved, your order will normally be printed and shipped within 2 days. Frames can take a little longer.

Delivery normally takes 1-2 days.

During very busy times like peak holiday seasons, you may experience longer printing and shipping times, up to 4 weeks.

Please note any revisions or delays receiving a suitable photo or your approval will add to the time.

Where do you ship to?

We currently ship to the UK, EU, US and Canada.

Orders are normally printed and shipped from the same region as you where possible to help avoid any delays or import tarrifs and to reduce our carbon footprint.

How is my order packaged?

Prints are shipped in hard-backed envelopes or poster tubes depending on the size.

Framed portraits are shipped in protective packaging and arrive framed ready to hang.

Is your packaging environmentally friendly?

Yes! We care strongly about the environment. That’s why all portraits use sustainably sourced wood and paper, eco-solvent inks and plastic-free, recycled and/or biodegradable packaging (where possible).

Sometimes we are forced to make compromises to adequately protect your order, but we always try and weigh this up against the carbon footprint of having to reship your order if it arrives damaged.

Refunds & Returns

What is your refund policy?

We offer a full refund at any time before your preview has been approved and sent to print.

We know how important your portrait is to you, which is why we always include a free preview so you can approve it before it's sent to print. In the unlikely event you don't love this preview, we will be happy to either revise it for you until you do or offer you a full refund depending on your preference.

Once the preview has been approved and sent to print, we are normally unable to offer a refund due to the personalised nature of our products. Please do contact us though at any time if you are not happy and we will do everything we can to make it right.

What if my order arrives damaged?

In the unfortunate event your order arrives damaged, please reach out to us via email with a photo showing the damage and we will get a replacement sent out to you ASAP.

You do not need to return the damaged one.

You can simply reply to one of your order emails or send a new message to support@printandpaw.com.
